That would certainly allow me to bin the pixels and give myself more room for error in guiding while also having an excellent camera.

Anyway, if it was me, I'd go mono and get the asi 2600mm. ZW Optical offers a wide rande of high speed astronomy cameras, filters, guiding scopes and many other acessories for astrophotography and astronomy. These ZWO camera have very small pixels which amplify any guiding errors. This leads me to a question for you, are you sure you want to do a color sensor? I am not sure how color binning works, but with mono, binning pixels will give you more room for error in your guiding. I am still trying to get my Alma mater to replace it with an AP1600 mount.
I do not know if you have already tried for long exposure DSOs, but it is a very difficult challenge with the RCX400s and their original mount. Now let's talk about the very difficult part of this whole setup: long exposures for DSO. This is particularly useful for planetary imaging, which I have done before on an RCX400 16" with a mono camera for the Jupiter Saturn conjunction. You can do region of interest with this camera too which will essentially tell the camera to capture only what is on a portion of the sensor, allowing for very high frame rates. if I read the thread correctly, ZWO was working on a fix for the driver problem. The place for ZWO camera owners to show off images, ask questions, and get the buzz on upcoming ZWO products. Solves the computer problem on the observation stand - the management center is a smartphone or tablet, via ZWO ASIAIR. I’ll echo the cable issue, which is fixable, imo.
